Actions

1. Design, manage and implement the Province=92s official statistical = system in order to obtain the necessary primary and secondary information to = make, manage and evaluate public policies, ensuring its statistical confidentiality.

2. Research into, develop and establish basic methodological and = operational standards to implement the activities established in the statistical programs. Provide instructions, monitor results and developments and = ensure the quality of the information delivered.

3. Coordinate the census and surveys=92 tasks conducted in the Province = of Buenos Aires.

4. Coordinate, supervise and assist statistical activities in the = provincial Administration Agencies and collect the information required to assess = the province=92s social, economic and environmental situation.

5. Promote the creation and / or strengthening of municipal statistical offices and coordinate their activities within the provincial = statistical system.

6. Organize, keep up-to-date and manage the statistical databank of the Province of Buenos Aires and the geographical information system.

7. Represent the Province at the National Institute of Statistics and = Census
(INDEC) and other relevant agencies and carry out all the duties and obligations as a member of National Statistical System.

8. Coordinate criteria, guidelines and common actions with national and international statistical agencies and those of other provinces.

9. Propose and carry out an official statistics publishing plan and disseminate any statistical information necessary to make decisions.
